We are the Northland Community Choir of Kansas City.
NCC has been singing beautiful music and performing in the Kansas City area "north of the river" since 1974. As a non-auditioned SATB ensemble, the choir is continually seeking new members from the community, from high school age and up. NCC has two seasons annually, from January to April and from September to December. We pride ourselves in the variety of music we bring to our performances. Recently we have had the opportunity to sing with the Kansas City Philharmonia; local soloists, instrumentalists, dancers; and other choirs. Robert Lamar Sims is our Artistic Director.
The Northland Community Choir is underwritten in part by Park University, Parkville, MO, as part of their Access to the Arts outreach program. In addition to providing financial support, Park provides a place for us to rehearse and perform. We are indebted to them for their support of arts in the community.
