How Can I Join NCC ?
Northland Community Choir is continually recruiting for new members. For the Spring 2010 season, registration and our first rehearsal will be Monday, JAN 11 in the Meetin' House on the campus of Park University.
The season registration fee is $50, and we ask for a $25 music deposit which is not deposited in the bank, but is returned at the end of the season when all of your music is turned in. (The registration fee is waived for fulltime Park University students.) The $50 fee helps pay for professional musicians as Director and Accompanist, for music, and for printing costs; we will take two or three installments if necessary. Park University has been generous in providing us a home to rehearse and perform, as well as other services.
A one time cost for members is concert attire. Women wear a prescribed formal gown which costs about $100. Men wear tuxes. NCC members have a range of ages, abilities, musical experience and training. There are no auditions. We welcome anybody who loves to sing, is willing to work diligently at rehearsals, and attend weekly.
We practice on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Meetin' House. Our director and accompanist are at each rehearsal.
